Tons of Money Play

“Tons of Money” is a farcical play that was written by Will Evans (1873-1931) and Arthur Valentine (1876-1961), who wrote under the name ‘Valentine,’ and was first performed in 1922 at the Shaftesbury Theatre in Camden, London, England. The original production was produced by Tom Walls and and Leslie Henson. The play was so successful, that Walls and Henson went on to produce the Aldwych farces.

The play was revised and updated for a modern audience by Alan Ayckbourn and premiered in 1985 at The Stephen Joseph Theatre in Scarborough, Yorkshire, England.
